Kate Kerslake

Kate Kerslake is the CEO of the National Examining Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN).

Kate’s early career started in retail management for large corporate companies before moving into the dental industry.

Kate previously worked for BUPA Dental Care where she was Head of Clinical Support. During her time at Bupa she led a large team, the majority of whom were Dental Nurses, supporting over 450 practices on clinical audits and quality assurance. Prior to this, she worked for Oasis Dental Care as a Practice Manager, Area Manager, and Clinical Projects Manager. As practice manager Kate had to understand finance, HR, operations, customer service, regulatory requirements and drive business development.

Kate has an MBA in healthcare and over 10 years of experience working in the dental sector in a variety of management roles. Kate was a governor of her local school for over six years, ending as Chair of Governors.

Kate’s vision for NEBDN is to be the leading provider supporting excellence in Dental Nurse education and development in the UK, which she hopes to achieve by offering new qualifications and aligning the business strategy with the changing needs of the profession.

Kate was appointed CEO in November 2018 and works alongside the senior management team and Board of Trustees.
