Anthony Blackman

Anthony is the Managing Director of Insight Optical Training (IOT), where he has worked for over seven years. At IOT, he runs his own online exams and offers Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to optical professionals. IOT is an approved CPD provider through the General Optical Council (GOC).

Anthony first joined a qualifications committee in 2014 for the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers while working as an optician and a lecturer at Canterbury Christ Church University. He has been involved with three apprenticeship trailblazer groups at levels 2, 3, and 6. Additionally, he is a qualified assessor, a Chartered Educational Assessor (CEA), and is currently partway through Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) training.

Beyond his work with NEBDN, Anthony is a Trustee on the Education and Learning Committee of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and Chairs the Awarding Organisation Committee for the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
